Local SEO for real estate agents in Nairobi

Landlords looking for someone to manage a building, and buyers and tenants looking for a home, usually start by searching for real estate agents in Nairobi — and call the agencies Google shows them first.

  • real estate agents in Nairobi
  • property management companies in Nairobi
  • real estate agents Westlands
  • real estate companies Nairobi CBD
  • property management Kilimani
  • letting agents near me

Listings live on the property portals, next to hundreds of others. But when people look for the agency itself — “property management companies in Nairobi”, “real estate agents in Westlands”, “letting agents near me” — Google shows a map and a short list of businesses. What decides that list is your Google Business Profile, your website and your reviews, not how many properties you have listed.

For a property management company, one landlord found through search can bring a whole building: tenant placement, rent collection and maintenance, month after month. For a sales agency, the client who finds you to sell one plot often comes back to buy the next. Being on that short list is worth more than another listing on a portal.

How I help

Four things, done for real estate agents and property management companies

  • 01

A profile for your agency, not for each listing

Google Business Profiles are for the agency and its offices — a house for sale or a vacant flat cannot have a profile of its own. So I build the profile around your business: the main category that fits — Real estate agency, Property management company, Real estate rental agency, Commercial real estate agency and so on — with each thing you do listed as a service.

    • Sales, lettings, property management, rent collection and tenant placement listed as services, so you can appear for each one, not just “real estate agency”.
    • Your office hours, phone and WhatsApp number all correct, with a link for booking a viewing or a call.
    • Photos of your office, your team and the developments you manage — with the owners’ permission — so clients know who they are dealing with.

Pages for the neighbourhoods you know best

People search for an agent where they want to live or own property: “real estate agents in Westlands”, “property management in Kilimani”, “houses to let in Karen”. I build a page for each of your main services and each area you genuinely work in — the kind of properties you handle there and how to reach you, never the same page with the name swapped — and add the structured data Google uses for real estate businesses.

One set of details across portals and directories

Real estate companies in Nairobi end up listed on property portals, business directories and social pages, often with an old phone number, a branch that has closed or an agent who has since left. I find those listings, bring your agency name, address and number in line everywhere, and add you where landlords and buyers in Nairobi look for agents.

Reviews from landlords, buyers and tenants

Someone searching for the best real estate agents in Nairobi decides largely on reviews, and reviews are part of how Google decides who to show. I set up a simple way to ask every landlord, buyer and tenant for a review once a sale, a letting or a year of management is done, and draft calm, factual replies for you to approve — including to the tenant who is unhappy about a deposit.

    Google reviews and photos

Registration, honest listings and tenant privacy

Estate agents in Kenya are required to register with the Estate Agents Registration Board under the Estate Agents Act. If you are registered, your website should say so, with your agency name exactly as it is registered — it gives a landlord or a buyer one more reason to trust you before they hand over a building or a deposit.

Everything on your profile and website stays factual: real properties, real photos, current details and genuine reviews. Replies to reviews never mention a tenant’s rent, arrears or personal details; Kenya’s Data Protection Act covers the information you hold about the people you deal with.

FAQ

Questions real estate agents and property management companies ask

We already list our properties on the portals. Why do we need this too?

Portals show your listings; your Google profile and website show your agency. Landlords looking for a manager, and buyers checking you out before a viewing, search for the business itself — and what Google shows on the map comes from your profile, not from the portals.

Can each of our properties have its own Google profile?

Not a property that is for sale or a vacant flat — Google’s guidelines don’t allow it. Your offices can, and so can an on-site leasing or management office that is staffed during its stated hours. Everything else belongs on your website, where each development can have its own page.

Our agents work under the agency name. Should they have their own profiles?

Google does allow individual agents who deal with clients directly to have their own profile. Whether that helps, or just splits your reviews across several profiles, depends on how your agency works; the audit looks at it.

We manage buildings in Westlands, Kilimani and Kileleshwa. Can we rank in all of them?

Your profile ranks most strongly near your office, so a page on your website for each area you genuinely work in does most of the work further out. If you have a separate staffed office in another area, it can have its own profile.

Do you work with agencies outside Nairobi?

Yes. I am based in Nairobi and work with real estate agents and property management companies anywhere in Kenya.
